The IWFM series is a rectangular-shaped inductive proximity sensor designed to be very thin, with analog (current/voltage) output. Its very thin rectangular shape allows for installation in very limited spaces, providing fast response times and excellent linearity, demonstrating outstanding performance across a wide range of applications. Not only is it thin, but it also adopts a safe three-wire (DC three-wire) configuration, eliminating concerns about leakage current that can arise with two-wire (DC two-wire) systems. While two-wire systems can reduce wiring costs compared to three-wire systems, they carry the risk of leakage current. In contrast, three-wire systems incur higher wiring costs but offer greater safety. The IFRR series is a cylindrical inductive proximity sensor with excellent saltwater resistance and a very robust digital (ON/OFF) output. It features a housing made of 316L stainless steel (EN number: 1.4404, known as SUS316L in Japan, which is considered the most rust-resistant stainless steel), and has been treated for saltwater protection, making it particularly suitable for use in areas prone to salt damage. In addition to its excellent saltwater resistance, it has an IP68/IP69K waterproof and dustproof protection rating, a wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +80°C), and can withstand high-temperature cleaning (from +80°C to +100°C) for short periods (30 minutes per day).
